About this scorecard

A public record built for action.

The Accountability Scorecard helps voters review how current House representatives have acted on a focused set of democracy, health care, and war-powers questions, alongside neutral campaign-funding data voters can interpret for themselves.

This scorecard was created and published by REBs, a grassroots political opposition group initially created to serve Redding, Easton, and Bethel, Connecticut. Its goal is to help preserve democracy and civil rights for all Americans.

To help meet its goals, REBs strives to simplify important issues and help its members, and others, access the information they need, easily and quickly. We know Americans are busy and politics is not a hobby. We're here to help make sense of it all.

Data and transparency

Built from public records.

Congressional records

Representative roster data comes from Congress.gov and the public unitedstates/congress-legislators project. Scorecard vote data comes from House Clerk roll-call XML records.

Campaign finance

Campaign receipt totals and funding-source distributions come from public FEC records for the 2023-2024 cycle. Associated industry and interest amounts come from OpenSecrets' 2024 All House Candidates views and are shown on their original basis rather than normalized to FEC totals.

Privacy

We limit the information we collect.

REBs does not store submitted addresses. Address lookup uses the district key needed to send people to the correct representative page.

We use limited, pseudonymous Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and content engagement. We do not identify visitors or send visitor names, street addresses, form contents, search text, full query strings, or user IDs to analytics.
